John Timple vs David Manubay

Boxing Daily Report from the Poku Promotions promoted show at Santiago Dimayacyac Gym, Cabuyao,  taking place on 28/06/2023:

Clearly Poku Promotions have made a mistake booking this venue with less than half the tickets sold, including those handed out as prizes by Boxing Daily.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a final eliminator for the Philippines-Laguna Light Flyweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are John Timple (4 - 7) who hails from San Pedro, Philippines and David Manubay(7 - 2 - 1) from Santa Rosa, Philippines.  Both Timple and Manubay weighed in at 108 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Colin Manalang, and the three ringside judges are Miguel Nieto, Xavier Sicat and Duncan Mangonon.  

Round 1: 

Manubay steps inside.  Timple lands a left hook.  
Timple advances into close range.  Manubay sidesteps to the right of his opponent and is on target with a right hook.  
Manubay steps inside.  Timple tries to land a left uppercut, but his opponent dodges the shot and counters with a right hook.  
Manubay hits home with a right hook.  
Timple is looking to keep his distance.  Manubay connects with an overhand left.
