Zuffur Farhat vs Damodar Babu

Boxing Daily Report from the AI India-Gujurat promoted show at Surat Suresh, Surat,  taking place on 15/07/2023:

The venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  On the line tonight is the India Super Welterweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 12 round matchup are Zuffur Farhat (11(2) - 3) who hails from Surat, India and Damodar Babu(5 - 6 - 1) from Hyderabad, India.  Both Farhat and Babu weighed in at 154 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Randeep Sharma, and the three ringside judges are Ali Islam, Jasvinder Ramesh and Kishore Balmiki.  

Round 1: 

Farhat finds the target with a jab.  Farhat tries to land a cross, but his opponent sidesteps and counters with a left uppercut.  
Farhat advances into close range and lands a right hook, left hook and a left uppercut to his opponents head.  
Farhat drives a left hook into Babu's body.  
Babu pivots to the left of his opponent and lands a cross followed by a left hook to his opponents head.  
Farhat is looking to close the distance and lands a right hook to the head, a left hook to the head and a left hook to the body.  
Farhat steps inside and drives a sharp left hook into Babu's body.  
Farhat advances into close range.  Babu throws a left hook, but Farhat ties up his opponent.  Farhat is using his forearm in the clinch.  The referee breaks the clinch and warns Farhat to stop fouling.  
Farhat manouvers Babu into the corner.  Farhat lands a left uppercut to the body followed by a right hook to the head.  
Farhat lands a left uppercut followed by a right hook to his opponents body.  Farhat ties up his opponent.  Farhat tries to make the space to throw a hook, but hits Babu behind the head. The referee warns Farhat and breaks the clinch.  
Farhat hits home with a left hook.  
Farhat is looking to close the distance and is on target with a left hook to Babu's body.  Farhat clinches his opponent.  Babu is using his forearm in the clinch.  The referee separates the two fighters and warns Babu.  
Farhat lands a left hook to the body followed by a cross to the head.  
Babu lands a left hook.  
Babu is looking to keep his distance and tries to land a jab, but Farhat slips the shot and counters with a sharp right uppercut.  
Farhat steps inside and lands a left uppercut followed by a left hook to his opponents body.  
Farhat lands a sharp left uppercut.  
At the end of Round 1, lets listen in on the corners...Babu's trainer is suggesting ways of getting through to his opponent.  Babu's trainer is telling his fighter to tighten his defence.

Farhat lands a stiff jab.  Farhat tries to land a cross, but his opponent parries the shot and counters with a right uppercut.  
Babu quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent.  Farhat lands a right hook to the head followed by a left uppercut to the body.  He follows up the attack and lands two left hooks to his opponents ribs.  
Farhat lands a double right hook to his opponents head.  He then lands two right hooks to his opponents ribs.  
Farhat lands a left uppercut to the body followed by a right hook to the head.  Farhat clinches his opponent.  Farhat is leaning on his opponent in the clinch. The ref breaks the clinch and signals for the action to continue.  Farhat tries to land a left hook, but his opponent slips the shot and counters with a cross.  
Farhat lands a left hook to the body followed by a left uppercut to the head.  Farhat ties up his opponent.  Farhat leans on his opponent using all his weight. The ref breaks Farhat's hold and signals for the fight to continue.  
Farhat advances into close range.  Farhat sidesteps to the right of his opponent.  Babu hits home with a left hook.  
Farhat gets on the inside and lands two right hooks to the body, and one to the head.  
As Farhat tries to work on the inside, the fighters heads come together!  The ref acknowledges the accidental headclash but allows the action to continue.    It looks like the clash of heads has caused some damage to Babu.  That has caused minor swelling  around the left eye.  
Babu tries to step out of his opponents range and is on target with an overhand left.  
Babu tries to land a jab, but his opponent sidesteps and counters with a sharp right uppercut.  
Farhat closes the distance and lands a right uppercut followed by a right hook to his opponents body.

Babu stalks forward with a low guard, trying to draw a lead from his opponent.  Farhat lands two consecutive straights to his opponents head.  
Farhat closes the distance.  Babu connects with a left hook.  
As Farhat tries to work on the inside, the fighters heads come together!  The ref steps in and separates the two fighters to check for damage.  Its not looking good!  The ref has ruled that the fight cannot continue due to the accidental damage.  As less than 4 rounds have been completed its going to be a no-contest!
