Ignatius Laskaris vs Gul Uzer

Boxing Daily Report from the Kajubi Promotions promoted show at Athens Halkias, Athens,  taking place on 14/07/2023:

The venue is mostly sold out with the fans eager to turn out for tonights fights.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a final eliminator for the Southern Europe Super Bantamweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance and those watching live on ERT1, the two fighters competing in this 12 round matchup are Ignatius Laskaris (9 - 3(1)) who hails from Athens, Greece and Gul Uzer(13 - 1 - 1) from Istanbul, Turkey.  Both Laskaris and Uzer weighed in at 122 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Medus Minas, and the three ringside judges are Anstiss Barba, Damocles Soulis and Persius Stathopoulos.  

Round 1: 

Laskaris switches the action to the outside and finds the target with a jab.  
Uzer advances into close range and drives a right hook into his opponents body.  
Laskaris digs in a right hook to Uzer's body.  Laskaris throws a right hook, but his opponent blocks the shot and counters with a cross.

The ref acknowledges the accidental headclash but allows the action to continue.    That accidental headbutt has resulted in some damage to Uzer.  That has caused minor swelling  around the left eye.
