Laken Chikunga vs Steven Krige

Boxing Daily Report from the AI South Africa-Gauteng promoted show at Gold Reef Entertainment Centre, Johannesburg,  taking place on 14/07/2023:

The venue is mostly sold out with the fans eager to turn out for tonights fights.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a final eliminator for the Southern African Featherweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance and those watching live on AIT Sports, the two fighters competing in this 12 round matchup are Laken Chikunga (10 - 1 - 1) who hails from Umlazi, South Africa and Steven Krige(12 - 2 - 1) from Soweto, South Africa.  Both Chikunga and Krige weighed in at 126 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Barry Khuzwayo, and the three ringside judges are Dillon Strydom, Quaddus Rascalimu and Barry Khuzwayo.
