Siyabonga Sono vs Lado Bulawayo

Boxing Daily Report from the Ssenjovu Promotions promoted show at Durban Tshiyola, Durban,  taking place on 14/07/2023:

There are a few empty seats out here tonight, but this is a respectable turnout for the show.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a final eliminator for the Southern African Heavyweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance and those watching live on AIT Sports, the two fighters competing in this 12 round matchup are Siyabonga Sono (8 - 1) who hails from Durban, South Africa and Lado Bulawayo(8 - 5) from Harare, Zimbabwe.  Sono weighed in at 239 pounds and 1 ounces, while Bulawayo weighed in at 239 pounds and 10 ounces.  
The referee tonight is Khalon Cardoso, and the three ringside judges are Cody Fuani, Thamsanqa Mbeki and Verlyn Selasee.

The ref does not appear to have noticed the clash as Bulawayo dabs at his face checking for damage.  Bulawayo has taken some damage from that accidental headbutt.  That has caused minor swelling  around the left eye.
