Ovidio Mercedes vs Edmundo Franca

Boxing Daily Report from the AI Colombia-Antioquia promoted show at Ofosu Gym, Medellin,  taking place on 16/07/2023:

The venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  
Next up we have one of the supporting contests of this show.  This is a final eliminator for the Colombia-Antioquia Bantamweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance and those watching live on CARACOL, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Ovidio Mercedes (9 - 3 - 2) who hails from Medellin, Colombia and Edmundo Franca(5 - 1) from Medellin, Colombia.  Both Mercedes and Franca weighed in at 118 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Alejandro Yero, and the three ringside judges are Alejandro Yero, Fausto Sastre and Fausto Sergio.
