James Burns vs Karl Connolly

Boxing Daily Report from the Kalungi Promotions promoted show at Ashley MacDermott Gym, Tallaght,  taking place on 25/07/2023:

Clearly Kalungi Promotions have made a mistake booking this venue with less than half the tickets sold, including those handed out as prizes by Boxing Daily.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a final eliminator for the Irish-Leinster Middleweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are James Burns (4 - 2) who hails from Dublin, Ireland and Karl Connolly(4 - 0) from Dublin, Ireland.  Both Burns and Connolly weighed in at 160 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Fionn Donnell, and the three ringside judges are Roy Spalding, Eoin McCadden and Joshua Higgins.  

Round 1: 

Connolly connects with a right uppercut.  
Connolly voluntarily retreats back onto the ropes...he waves his opponent in!  Burns is whaling away with hooks, but Connolly keeps his defence tight.
