Boxing Daily Report from the AI South Africa-Western Cape promoted show at Cape Town Van der Merwe, Cape Town,  taking place on 03/08/2023:

There are a few empty seats out here tonight, but this is a respectable turnout for the show.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a mandatory fight for the South Africa Cruiserweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance and those watching live on AIT Sports, the two fighters competing in this 12 round matchup are Mondli Lakay (10 - 0) who hails from Cape Town, South Africa and Philippe De Beer(8 - 1) from Mitchells Plain, South Africa.  Lakay weighed in at 200 pounds, while De Beer weighed in at 199 pounds and 6 ounces.
