Angel Mercedes vs Cipriano Pelaez

Boxing Daily Report from the AI Argentina-Córdoba promoted show at Argentina-Córdoba Gym, Córdoba,  taking place on 14/08/2023:

There are plenty of empty seats out here tonight, with the show nowhere near close to selling out.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a mandatory fight for the Argentina-Córdoba Heavyweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance and those watching live on TV Publica, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Angel Mercedes (12 - 2 - 1) who hails from Córdoba, Argentina and Cipriano Pelaez(11(7) - 0 - 1) from Córdoba, Argentina.  Mercedes weighed in at 244 pounds and 11 ounces, while Pelaez weighed in at 254 pounds and 3 ounces.  
The referee tonight is Leonel Ponciano, and the three ringside judges are Diego Alvear, Urvano Rodriquez and Kiki Alvidrez.
