Rico Morro vs Angel Mercado

Boxing Daily Report from the AI Cuba-Santiago de Cuba promoted show at Santiago de Cuba Albuquerque, Santiago de Cuba,  taking place on 16/08/2023:

There are plenty of empty seats out here tonight, with the show nowhere near close to selling out.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a final eliminator for the Cuba Super Welterweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 12 round matchup are Rico Morro (10 - 2(1)) who hails from Santiago de Cuba, Cuba and Angel Mercado(6 - 2 - 2) from Havana, Cuba.  Both Morro and Mercado weighed in at 154 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Ramiro Aleman, and the three ringside judges are Santiago Villafane, Oro Balan and Montego Iglesias.
