Montenegro Masias vs Xalvador Vara

Boxing Daily Report from the AI Dominican Republic-Santiago promoted show at Handila Gym, Santiago de los Caballeros,  taking place on 17/08/2023:

There are a few empty seats out here tonight, but this is a respectable turnout for the show.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a mandatory fight for the Dominican Republic-Santiago Heavyweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance and those watching live on CERTV, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Montenegro Masias (10 - 0) who hails from Santiago de los Caballeros, Dominican Republic and Xalvador Vara(6 - 1) from Santiago de los Caballeros, Dominican Republic.  Masias weighed in at 225 pounds and 1 ounces, while Vara weighed in at 211 pounds and 11 ounces.  
The referee tonight is Carlos De Anda, and the three ringside judges are Guillermo Garzon, Xaverius Alonso and Sagaz Mieras.
