Quico Melgar vs Rio Rendon

Boxing Daily Report from the Wonani Promotions promoted show at Guayaquil Laredo, Guayaquil,  taking place on 18/08/2023:

There are a few empty seats out here tonight, but this is a respectable turnout for the show.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a mandatory fight for the Ecuador Super Flyweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance and those watching live on Fox Sports Latin America, the two fighters competing in this 12 round matchup are Quico Melgar (14(1) - 2) who hails from Cuenco, Ecuador and Rio Rendon(13(2) - 0 - 1) from Guayaquil, Ecuador.  Both Melgar and Rendon weighed in at 115 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Vicente Tamez, and the three ringside judges are Alano Camejo, Pedro Siman and Quiqui Rubi.
