Jose Yero vs Ryo Melchior

Boxing Daily Report from the AI Ecuador-Pichincha promoted show at Quito Cazares, Quito,  taking place on 19/08/2023:

There are a few empty seats out here tonight, but this is a respectable turnout for the show.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a mandatory fight for the Ecuador Heavyweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance and those watching live on Fox Sports Latin America, the two fighters competing in this 12 round matchup are Jose Yero (12(1) - 0) who hails from Quito, Ecuador and Ryo Melchior(9 - 3 - 4) from Guayaquil, Ecuador.  Yero weighed in at 220 pounds and 12 ounces, while Melchior weighed in at 244 pounds and 4 ounces.  
The referee tonight is Luis Mazariegos, and the three ringside judges are Joaquin Santillanes, Ovidio Vallez and Neper Cifuentes.
