Jesus Nevarez vs Jose Rizo

Boxing Daily Report from the Kwofie Promotions promoted show at Montel Solis Gym, Mexicali,  taking place on 26/08/2023:

There are plenty of empty seats out here tonight, with the show nowhere near close to selling out.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a final eliminator for the Mexico-Baja California Super Lightweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Jesus Nevarez (10 - 2) who hails from Mexicali, Mexico and Jose Rizo(14 - 1) from Tijuana, Mexico.  Nevarez weighed in at 140 pounds, while Rizo weighed in at 139 pounds And 2 ounces.  
The referee tonight is Carlos Leano, and the three ringside judges are Vicente Navarra, Sagaz Moya and Porfio Rodriguez.  

Round 1: 

Nevarez is looking to close the distance and digs in a right uppercut to his opponents ribcage.
