Joaquin Izquierdo vs Xaver Padua

Boxing Daily Report from the Ondoa Promotions promoted show at Montevideo Isabella, Montevideo,  taking place on 02/09/2023:

There are plenty of empty seats out here tonight, with the show nowhere near close to selling out.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a mandatory fight for the Uruguay-Montevideo Super Welterweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Joaquin Izquierdo (6 - 1) who hails from Montevideo, Uruguay and Xaver Padua(8 - 3 - 2) from Montevideo, Uruguay.  Both Izquierdo and Padua weighed in at 154 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Carlos Jiminez, and the three ringside judges are Ryo Canedo, Rodrigo Bacallao and Santiago Remedios.
