Boxing Daily Report from the AI Philippines-Davao del Sur promoted show at University of SE Philippines Gym, Davao City,  taking place on 14/09/2023:

There are a few empty seats out here tonight, but this is a respectable turnout for the show.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a mandatory fight for the South Asian Middleweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance and those watching live on IBC, the two fighters competing in this 12 round matchup are Rehman Shafi (10 - 0 - 1) who hails from Hyderabad, India and Joaquin Gomez(12 - 0) from Davao City, Philippines.  Both Shafi and Gomez weighed in at 160 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Enzo Corte, and the three ringside judges are Sancho Betances, Alejandro Tacderan and Santiago Omapoy.
