Kai Govern vs Ian Donkin

Boxing Daily Report from the AI Canada-Alberta promoted show at Edmonton Hackney, Edmonton,  taking place on 16/09/2023:

There are plenty of empty seats out here tonight, with the show nowhere near close to selling out.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a final eliminator for the Canada Super Lightweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance and those watching live on Fight Network, the two fighters competing in this 12 round matchup are Kai Govern (7 - 4 - 2) who hails from Edmonton, Canada and Ian Donkin(8 - 4 - 3) from Toronto, Canada.  Both Govern and Donkin weighed in at 140 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Charles Wardrop, and the three ringside judges are Dale Biggs, Charlie Ainsley and Robert Methvin.  

Round 1: 

Govern gets on the inside.  Donkin connects with a right hook.  
Govern feints a cross, and then hits home with a left hook.
