Iwao Hora vs Isamu Kita

Boxing Daily Report from the Katembula Promotions promoted show at Katembula Gym, Hamamatsu,  taking place on 22/09/2023:

The venue is mostly sold out with the fans eager to turn out for tonights fights.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a final eliminator for the Japan Cruiserweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance and those watching live on Sky-A Sports, the two fighters competing in this 12 round matchup are Iwao Hora (9 - 4 - 2) who hails from Shizuoka, Japan and Isamu Kita(9 - 3 - 1) from Osaka, Japan.  Hora weighed in at 200 pounds, while Kita weighed in at 198 pounds And 15 ounces.  
The referee tonight is Aki Ogata, and the three ringside judges are Aoi Takagi, Akira Taguchi and Akira Sanda.  

Round 1: 

Kita advances into close range.  Kita sidesteps to the right of his opponent and lands a left hook to the body, and then to the head.  
Kita connects with a right hook.  Kita throws a left uppercut, but his opponent parries the shot and counters with a left hook.  
Hora tries to step out of his opponents range.  Kita lands a straight 1 - 2.  
Kita advances into close range and forces Hora to retreat into the corner.  Kita lands a right uppercut to the head, a right uppercut to the body and a left hook to the body.  
Kita is looking to close the distance and connects with a firm left uppercut.  Kita ties up his opponent.  The ref breaks the clinch and signals for the action to continue.

Kita pivots to the left of his opponent and lands a double left hook to his opponents head.  
Kita pivots to the right of his opponent and lands a right hook followed by a left hook to his opponents head.

The ref acknowledges the accidental headclash but allows the action to continue.    That accidental headbutt has resulted in some damage to Kita.  That has caused minor swelling  around the left eye.
