Joshua Gilfillan vs Rob Lawson

Boxing Daily Report from the Simasiku Promotions promoted show at Manukau Freebairn, Manukau,  taking place on 26/09/2023:

There are plenty of empty seats out here tonight, with the show nowhere near close to selling out.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a final eliminator for the New Zealand Middleweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance and those watching live on Prime, the two fighters competing in this 12 round matchup are Joshua Gilfillan (13(1) - 1) who hails from Christchurch, New Zealand and Rob Lawson(10 - 1 - 1) from Waitakere, New Zealand.  Both Gilfillan and Lawson weighed in at 160 pounds.  
The referee tonight is James Woodburn, and the three ringside judges are Mark Vaux, Hani Rarere and Harvey Dorch.
