Prince Akinnifesi vs Elderson Ogbuke

Boxing Daily Report from the AI Nigeria-Borno State promoted show at Hassan Sultana Gym, Maiduguri,  taking place on 27/09/2023:

There are plenty of empty seats out here tonight, with the show nowhere near close to selling out.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a final eliminator for the Nigeria Cruiserweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance and those watching live on AIT Sports, the two fighters competing in this 12 round matchup are Prince Akinnifesi (10 - 3) who hails from Abuja, Nigeria and Elderson Ogbuke(5 - 2 - 6) from Maiduguri, Nigeria.  Both Akinnifesi and Ogbuke weighed in at 200 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Patrick Ekoku, and the three ringside judges are Obaid Shariff, Syed Hariri and Gethin Rotimi.  

Round 1: 

Akinnifesi closes the distance and lands a right hook.  Akinnifesi clinches his opponent.  Akinnifesi is using his forearm in the clinch.  The ref calls break and the two fighters separate.  
Ogbuke quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent.  Akinnifesi finds the target with a jab.

As the two fighters work on the inside, their heads come together!  The ref does not appear to have noticed the clash as Ogbuke dabs at his face checking for damage.
