Nicandro Chaparro vs Rafael Barcena

Boxing Daily Report from the Sahaghyan Promotions promoted show at Xabat Duque Gym, Madrid,  taking place on 30/09/2023:

The venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a final eliminator for the Spain-Comunidad de Madrid Welterweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Nicandro Chaparro (9 - 2 - 3) who hails from Madrid, Spain and Rafael Barcena(7 - 3) from Madrid, Spain.  Both Chaparro and Barcena weighed in at 147 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Santiago Cedillo, and the three ringside judges are Sagaz Archibeque, Gervasio Perales and Venacio Bazan.  

Round 1: 

Barcena advances into close range.  Chaparro throws a left hook, but Barcena clinches his opponent.  As they grapple, Barcena pushes his forearm into Chaparro's face.  The referee breaks the clinch and warns Barcena to stop fouling.
