Diego Cortez vs Aaron Sterling

Boxing Daily Report from the AI USA-Nevada promoted show at Kabbendjian Gym, Las Vegas,  taking place on 03/10/2023:

Clearly AI USA-Nevada have made a mistake booking this venue with less than half the tickets sold, including those handed out as prizes by Boxing Daily.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a final eliminator for the USA-Pacific Cruiserweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Diego Cortez (9 - 2) who hails from San Diego, USA and Aaron Sterling(9(1) - 1(1)) from Henderson, USA.  Both Cortez and Sterling weighed in at 200 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Will Cerezo, and the three ringside judges are Ollie Latta, Ellis Slight and Waqar Othman.  

Round 1: 

Sterling is on target with a firm left hook.  
Sterling lands a solid cross.  
Cortez sidesteps to the right of his opponent.  Sterling hits home with a left hook.  Sterling attempts to land a cross, but Cortez slips the shot and counters with a left uppercut.
