Onofre Alvaro vs Diego Jara

Boxing Daily Report from the Chilembe Promotions promoted show at Vicente Aday Gym, Havana,  taking place on 16/10/2023:

Clearly Chilembe Promotions have made a mistake booking this venue with less than half the tickets sold, including those handed out as prizes by Boxing Daily.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a final eliminator for the Cuba-Havana Featherweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Onofre Alvaro (8 - 6) who hails from Havana, Cuba and Diego Jara(8 - 5 - 1) from Havana, Cuba.  Both Alvaro and Jara weighed in at 126 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Neper Quinonez, and the three ringside judges are Beltran Diaz, Ponce Barro and Alfonso Fiel.  

Round 1: 

Jara steps inside.  Alvaro connects with a left hook.  
Jara closes the distance.  Jara pivots from in front of his opponent and drives a right hook into Alvaro's body.  
Jara advances into close range and walks Alvaro into the corner.  Jara is on target with a left hook to his opponents ribs.  
Jara gets on the inside.  Jara pivots from in front of his opponent.  Jara throws a left hook, but his opponent sidesteps and counters with a cross.  
Jara lands a left hook.  
Jara closes the distance.  Alvaro lands a left hook to the body followed by a right hook to the head.  
Jara steps inside.  Jara wants to work on the inside, but accidentally clashes heads with his opponent!  The ref does not appear to have noticed the clash as Alvaro dabs at his face checking for damage.
