Boxing Daily Report from the AI China-Guangdong promoted show at Liko Pong Gym, Guangzhou,  taking place on 16/10/2023:

There are a few empty seats out here tonight, but this is a respectable turnout for the show.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a final eliminator for the China Super Welterweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance and those watching live on His TV, the two fighters competing in this 12 round matchup are Jun Thien (9 - 3 - 3) who hails from Dongguan, China and Li-Liang Chew(7 - 3 - 3) from Taizhou, China.  Thien weighed in at 153 pounds and 12 ounces, while Chew weighed in at 154 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Hui-chao Jeung, and the three ringside judges are Manchu Shen, Shing Jou and Fo-hai Howe.  

Round 1: 

Thien steps inside.  Thien sidesteps to the left of his opponent and is on target with a left hook.

As the two fighters work on the inside, their heads come together!  The ref acknowledges the accidental headclash but allows the action to continue.    It looks like the clash of heads has caused some damage to Thien.  That has caused minor swelling  around the right eye.
