Hitoshi Kiyabu vs Shinji Kato

Boxing Daily Report from the AI Japan-Chiba promoted show at Mitsui Garden Center Kashiwa-no-ha, Kashiwa,  taking place on 23/10/2023:

There are plenty of empty seats out here tonight, with the show nowhere near close to selling out.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a final eliminator for the Japan Super Bantamweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance and those watching live on Sky-A Sports, the two fighters competing in this 12 round matchup are Hitoshi Kiyabu (12 - 4(1)) who hails from Hiroshima, Japan and Shinji Kato(10 - 1) from Funabashi, Japan.  Both Kiyabu and Kato weighed in at 122 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Taro Sugawara, and the three ringside judges are Jun Usui, Akira Kamei and Ichiro Yamada.  

Round 1: 

Kiyabu is looking to keep his distance.  Kiyabu sidesteps to the left of his opponent and lands a jab to the body followed by a cross to the head.
