Michael Shanklin vs Chris Muffett

Boxing Daily Report from the AI New Zealand-Canterbury promoted show at Christchurch Cathey, Christchurch,  taking place on 28/10/2023:

There are a few empty seats out here tonight, but this is a respectable turnout for the show.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a final eliminator for the New Zealand-Canterbury Cruiserweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Michael Shanklin (6 - 5 - 2) who hails from Christchurch, New Zealand and Chris Muffett(2 - 3 - 1) from Christchurch, New Zealand.  Both Shanklin and Muffett weighed in at 200 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Ikei Kahu, and the three ringside judges are Jonathan Lockaby, Tobias Vert and Gareth Young.  

Round 1: 

Shanklin lands a left uppercut.
