John Penrose vs Davie Sherriff

Boxing Daily Report from the AI USA-Pennsylvania promoted show at Tambo Gym, Pittsburgh,  taking place on 04/11/2023:

The venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a mandatory fight for the USA-Mid Atlantic Welterweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance and those watching live on Fight Now TV, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are John Penrose (7 - 5 - 2) who hails from New York City, USA and Davie Sherriff(10 - 0) from Philadelphia, USA.  Penrose weighed in at 147 pounds, while Sherriff weighed in at 145 pounds and 13 ounces.  
The referee tonight is Declan Forbes, and the three ringside judges are Joey Grierson, Malcolm Kuntzman and Sammy Duchamp.  

Round 1: 

Penrose tries to keep the action at long range.  Sherriff connects with a cross.
