Ricardo Amescua vs Javier Velez

Boxing Daily Report from the Vilakazi Promotions promoted show at Cruz Mellado Gym, San Bernardo,  taking place on 15/11/2023:

There are plenty of empty seats out here tonight, with the show nowhere near close to selling out.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a final eliminator for the Chile Middleweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance and those watching live on UCV, the two fighters competing in this 12 round matchup are Ricardo Amescua (9 - 5 - 1) who hails from Antofagasta, Chile and Javier Velez(8 - 0) from Maipu, Chile.  Amescua weighed in at 160 pounds, while Velez weighed in at 159 pounds and 7 ounces.  
The referee tonight is Santiago Banuelos, and the three ringside judges are Pancho Peguero, Baltasar Pedregon and Santiago Banuelos.  

Round 1: 

Velez is looking to close the distance.  Amescua pivots to the side of his opponent and is on target with a left hook.
