Hugh Probert vs Rex Agostino

Boxing Daily Report from the AI UK-Central England promoted show at Greenbank Sports Centre, Liverpool,  taking place on 25/10/2023:

There are plenty of empty seats out here tonight, with the show nowhere near close to selling out.  
Next up we have one of the supporting contests of this show.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 4 round matchup are Hugh Probert (0 - 0) who hails from Edinburgh, UK and Rex Agostino(1 - 0) from London, UK.  Both Probert and Agostino weighed in at 160 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Max Smith, and the three ringside judges are Hassan Hassan, Harvey McIver and Ewan Sprout.

Probert gets on the inside and is on target with a right hook.  
Probert closes the distance.  Probert lands a right hook followed by a left uppercut to his opponents body.  As Probert tries to work on the inside, the fighters heads come together!  The ref does not appear to have noticed the clash as Agostino dabs at his face checking for damage.  
Probert lands a cross to the head followed by a left uppercut to the body.  
Probert closes the distance.  Agostino tries to land a left hook, but Probert blocks the shot and counters with a cross.

Probert lands a right hook followed by a left hook to his opponents body.  
Probert steps inside and lands a left hook to the body followed by a right uppercut to the head.

Probert manouvers Agostino into the blue corner.  Probert lands a right hook to the body, and then to the head.  Probert clinches his opponent.  Probert pushes his forearm into Agostino's face.  The ref calls break and the two fighters separate.  
At the end of Round 1, lets listen in on the corners...Agostino's trainer is advising how he could be more accurate.  Agostino's trainer is telling his fighter to increase his workrate.

Probert lands a right hook.  Probert clinches his opponent.  Probert pushes his forearm into Agostino's face.  The referee breaks the clinch and warns Probert to stop fouling.  
Probert drives a left hook into his opponents body.  
Probert lands a left hook to the head followed by a right uppercut to the body.  
Agostino is looking to close the distance and walks Probert onto the ropes.  Probert throws a right hook, but is unable to find the target.  Probert ties up his opponent.  Probert is leaning on his opponent in the clinch. The ref separates the two fighters.  
Probert connects with a solid cross.  
Probert is looking to close the distance.  Agostino wants to work on the inside, but accidentally clashes heads with his opponent!  The ref acknowledges the accidental headclash but allows the action to continue.  Probert has taken some damage from that accidental headbutt.  That has caused slight swelling  around the right eye.

Probert closes the distance and digs in a right hook to his opponents body.  
Agostino throws a short cross to the body, but lands low!  The ref stops the action.  The ref sends Probert to the neutral corner.  He has a stern word with Agostino and threatens a point deduction if continues to foul.

Probert is looking to close the distance and drives a right hook into Agostino's body.

Agostino drives a cross into Probert's body.  
Agostino quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent and connects with a right hook.  
Probert digs in a left hook to his opponents liver.  
Agostino connects with a right hook.  
Probert quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent.  Agostino hits home with a cross.  
Probert gets on the inside.  Probert hits home with a right hook.  Probert throws a short cross to the body, but lands low!  The ref stops the action and gives Agostino time to recover.
