Leif Ohm vs Hogarth Markussen

Boxing Daily Report from the Valhalla promotions promoted show at Quimby Haugland Gym, Bergen,  taking place on 31/10/2023:

The venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  
Next up we have one of the supporting contests of this show.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 6 round matchup are Leif Ohm (0 - 0) who hails from Oslo, Norway and Hogarth Markussen(0 - 10) from Oslo, Norway.  Ohm weighed in at 135 pounds, while Markussen weighed in at 134 pounds and 14 ounces.  
The referee tonight is Hardicanute Snare, and the three ringside judges are Harper Aanenson, Hogarth Karlsen and Harper Aanenson.  

Round 1: 

Ohm steps inside and connects with a sharp right hook.  
Markussen steps to the outside and is on target with a jab.  
Ohm is on target with a solid right uppercut to Markussen's body.

Ohm is looking to close the distance and lands a right hook, left uppercut and a left hook to his opponents body.

Markussen steps away from his opponent and tries to land a cross, but Ohm sidesteps and counters with a stinging left uppercut to Markussen's body.

Ohm lands a right hook followed by a left hook to his opponents head.  
Ohm drives a firm left hook into Markussen's ribs.  As the two fighters work on the inside, their heads come together!  The ref acknowledges the accidental headclash but allows the action to continue.    That accidental headbutt has resulted in some damage to Ohm.  That has caused a minor cut above the right eye.  .  
At the end of Round 1, lets listen in on the corners...Markussen's trainer is suggesting ways of getting through to his opponent.  Markussen's trainer is telling his fighter to increase his workrate.  Markussen's trainer is passing on some tactical advice.  Markussen's trainer is advising how he could improve his defence.
