Akira Sano vs Jiro Kondo

Boxing Daily Report from the AI Japan-Miyagi promoted show at Satoru Tanji Gym, Sendai,  taking place on 22/11/2023:

Clearly AI Japan-Miyagi have made a mistake booking this venue with less than half the tickets sold, including those handed out as prizes by Boxing Daily.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a final eliminator for the Japan-Miyagi Welterweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Akira Sano (6 - 1) who hails from Sendai, Japan and Jiro Kondo(5 - 4 - 1) from Sendai, Japan.  Both Sano and Kondo weighed in at 147 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Satoru Oyama, and the three ringside judges are Satoshi Matsui, Satoru Oyama and Satoshi Matsui.  

Round 1: 

Kondo steps away from his opponent and throws a cross, but his opponent sidesteps and counters with a cross.  
Kondo throws a left hook, but Sano ties up his opponent.  Kondo leans on his opponent trying to wear him down. As they grapple, Sano pushes his forearm into Kondo's face.  The ref halts the action and breaks the clinch.  He lectures Sano about fouling.
