Justin Gorey vs Neil Grieves

Boxing Daily Report from the Hard hitting promotions promoted show at Andy Wayson Gym, Nassau,  taking place on 05/11/2023:

The venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  
Next up we have one of the supporting contests of this show.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 4 round matchup are Justin Gorey (0 - 0) who hails from Nassau, Bahamas and Neil Grieves(0 - 2) from Nassau, Bahamas.  Both Gorey and Grieves weighed in at 147 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Steven Gorry, and the three ringside judges are Mark Dugal, Dominic Pollock and Kai Haile.  

Round 1: 

Gorey feints a jab, tricking Grieves into launching a left uppercut counter.  Gorey is waiting for the shot and counters with a right hook.  
Grieves sidesteps to the right of his opponent.  Gorey finds the target with a stinging jab.  
Gorey pivots to the side of his opponent and lands a solid jab.  
Gorey lands a left hook to the body, and then to the head.  He then lands a left uppercut followed by a left hook to his opponents head.  
Gorey is on target with a right hook.  
Gorey forces Grieves to retreat into the blue corner.  Gorey pivots to the left of his opponent and lands a left hook.  
Grieves steps to the outside.  Gorey connects with a cross.  
Gorey steps inside and lands three consecutive left hooks to his opponents head.  
Gorey pivots to the side of his opponent.  The two boxers are fighting in-close, but their heads clash!  The ref does not appear to have noticed the clash as Grieves dabs at his face checking for damage.  
Gorey hits home with a cross.  
Gorey lands a left hook followed by a right hook to his opponents head.  
Gorey advances into close range.  Gorey pivots from in front of his opponent and lands a left hook followed by a right hook to his opponents head.  
Gorey steps inside.  Gorey pivots to the side of his opponent and drives a stinging left hook into his opponents ribs.  
Grieves connects with a cross.  
Gorey closes the distance and lands a left hook.  
At the end of Round 1, lets listen in on the corners...Grieves's trainer is suggesting ways of getting through to his opponent.  Grieves's trainer is telling his fighter he is being outworked and needs to throw more.  Grieves's trainer is passing on some tactical advice.  Grieves's trainer is advising how he could stop so many clean shots getting through.

Gorey advances into close range.  As Grieves tries to work on the inside, the fighters heads come together!  The ref does not appear to have noticed the clash as Gorey dabs at his face checking for damage.
