John Winchell vs John Ridpath

Boxing Daily Report from the Hard hitting promotions promoted show at Andy Wayson Gym, Nassau,  taking place on 05/11/2023:

The venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 4 round matchup are John Winchell (0 - 0) who hails from Nassau, Bahamas and John Ridpath(0 - 3) from Nassau, Bahamas.  Winchell weighed in at 249 pounds And 9 ounces, while Ridpath weighed in at 236 pounds And 10 ounces.  
The referee tonight is Mark Dugal, and the three ringside judges are Steven Gorry, Dominic Pollock and Kai Haile.  

Round 1:

Winchell forces Ridpath to retreat into a corner.  Winchell pivots to the side of his opponent and hits home with a right hook.

Winchell advances into close range and throws a left hook, but is off-target.  Winchell ties up his opponent.  As they grapple, Winchell pushes his forearm into Ridpath's face.  The ref halts the action and breaks the clinch.  He lectures Winchell about fouling.  
Ridpath digs in a right uppercut to Winchell's body.
