Xavier Callejas vs Juan Loyola

Boxing Daily Report from the Adomah Promotions promoted show at Juarez Fosco, Juarez,  taking place on 25/11/2023:

There are a few empty seats out here tonight, but this is a respectable turnout for the show.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a final eliminator for the Mexico-Chihuahua Bantamweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Xavier Callejas (6 - 7 - 1) who hails from Juarez, Mexico and Juan Loyola(10 - 0) from Juarez, Mexico.  Callejas weighed in at 118 pounds, while Loyola weighed in at 117 pounds and 4 ounces.  
The referee tonight is Quiqui Menor, and the three ringside judges are Rodrigo Gil, Jose Espina and Angel Morales.  

Round 1: 

Loyola is looking to close the distance and digs in a right uppercut to Callejas's body.  
Callejas is looking to keep his distance and throws a cross, but his opponent sidesteps and counters with a left hook.

As the two fighters work on the inside, their heads come together!  The ref does not appear to have noticed the clash as Callejas dabs at his face checking for damage.    That accidental headbutt has resulted in some damage to Callejas.  That has caused slight swelling  around the left eye.
