Mark Loroupe vs Hassan Abed

Boxing Daily Report from the Bos Firefighters promoted show at Kasarani indoor arena, Nairobi,  taking place on 02/12/2023:

There are a few empty seats out here tonight, but this is a respectable turnout for the show.  
Next up we have one of the supporting contests of this show.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Mark Loroupe (10 - 3 - 2) who hails from Nairobi, Kenya and Hassan Abed(8 - 2) from Kampala, Uganda.  Loroupe weighed in at 154 pounds, while Abed weighed in at 153 pounds And 8 ounces.  
The referee tonight is Billy Tumbo, and the three ringside judges are Matt Kanyoro, Shaun Chelangat and Matt Kanyoro.  

Round 1: 

Abed advances into close range and is on target with a right hook to his opponents body.  
Loroupe tries to keep the action at long range.  Abed snaps his opponents head back with a solid jab.  
Loroupe steps to the outside and throws a jab, but his opponent dodges the shot and counters with a cross.  
Loroupe sidesteps to the right of his opponent and lands a cross to Abed's body.

Abed lands a left uppercut.

Loroupe switches the action to the outside.  Abed lands an overhand right followed by a cross to his opponents head.  
Abed lands a left hook.  
Abed advances into close range and digs in a left hook to Loroupe's liver.  
Abed closes the distance.  Loroupe throws a left hook, but Abed clinches his opponent.  Loroupe pushes his forearm into Abed's face.  The ref halts the action and breaks the clinch.  He lectures Loroupe about fouling.  
Loroupe sidesteps to the left of his opponent.  Abed lands a left hook to the body followed by a cross to the head.

Loroupe throws a left hook, but Abed holds on to his opponent.  Abed leans on his opponent trying to wear him down. Abed tries to make the space to throw a hook, but hits Loroupe's kidney. The ref halts the action and breaks the clinch.  He lectures Abed about fouling.  
Abed gets on the inside and connects with a left uppercut.  
Loroupe tries to step out of his opponents range and tries to land a jab, but Abed sidesteps and counters with a left hook.  
Abed advances into close range.  Loroupe pivots to the right of his opponent.  Abed hits home with a left hook.  Abed attempts to land a left hook, but Loroupe slips the shot and counters with a left hook to his opponents body.  
Abed gets on the inside and lands a right hook to the head, a left hook to the body and a left hook to the head.

Abed quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent and lands a right hook.  
Abed is looking to close the distance and walks his opponent onto the ropes.  Abed drives a left hook into Loroupe's liver.  
Abed advances into close range and is on target with a right uppercut.  
Abed lands a left uppercut followed by a right uppercut to his opponents body.  
Abed lands a right hook followed by a left hook to his opponents head.  
Abed lands a left hook.  
Abed pivots from in front of his opponent and is on target with a right hook.  
Abed hits home with a right hook.  Abed holds on to his opponent.  Abed uses his free hand to throw a hook, but it hits Loroupe behind the head. The ref halts the action and breaks the clinch.  He lectures Abed about fouling.  
Abed walks his opponent into the red corner.  Loroupe is on target with a left hook to his opponents body.

Loroupe pivots to the right of his opponent.  Abed attempts to land a left hook, but Loroupe dodges the shot and counters with a right uppercut to Abed's body.

The ref does not appear to have noticed the clash as Abed dabs at his face checking for damage.    That accidental headbutt has resulted in some damage to Abed.  That has caused slight swelling  around the right eye.
