Yo Sum vs Nao Izumi

Boxing Daily Report from the Ekstein Promotions promoted show at Sam Gym, Kitakyushu,  taking place on 22/11/2023:

There are plenty of empty seats out here tonight, with the show nowhere near close to selling out.  
Next up we have one of the supporting contests of this show.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 6 round matchup are Yo Sum (0 - 0) who hails from Chengdu, China and Nao Izumi(0 - 2) from Kyoto, Japan.  Both Sum and Izumi weighed in at 115 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Goro Koizumi, and the three ringside judges are Naoki Hasegawa, Ryo Hora and Akira Umemoto.  

Round 1: 

Sum pivots to the left of his opponent and lands two consecutive left uppercuts to his opponents head.  
Sum pivots from in front of his opponent and lands a right hook to the body, a left hook to the head and a left hook to the body.  
Izumi gets on the inside.  Sum hits home with a left hook.

Sum manages to force Izumi into the red corner.  Sum is on target with a right hook.  
Sum pivots to the side of his opponent and is on target with a left uppercut.  
Sum circles his opponent with a low guard, waiting for his opponent to attack.  Izumi connects with a right uppercut.  
Sum gets on the inside and lands a left uppercut.  
Sum pivots from in front of his opponent and lands two left hooks to his opponents ribs.  
Sum pivots to the side of his opponent and lands two left hooks to his opponents ribs.  
Sum gets on the inside.  Sum pivots to the right of his opponent and is on target with a right hook to Izumi's ribs.
