Leighton Jones vs Wayne Clay

Boxing Daily Report from the Bos Firefighters promoted show at Peaks Ice Arena, Provo,  taking place on 09/12/2023:

The venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  
Next up we have one of the supporting contests of this show.  This is a final eliminator for the USA-Mountain West Middleweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Leighton Jones (7 - 2(1)) who hails from Provo, USA and Wayne Clay(13 - 1) from Boise, USA.  Jones weighed in at 159 pounds And 12 ounces, while Clay weighed in at 160 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Lucas Magorian, and the three ringside judges are Jordan Burke, Rhod Gubay and John Egerton.  

Round 1: 

Clay gets on the inside and walks his opponent onto the ropes.  Clay connects with a right uppercut.
