Vicente Najarro vs Bart Gallagher

Boxing Daily Report from the Mr. Vicious promoted show at Club M, Dublin,  taking place on 26/11/2023:

There are a few empty seats out here tonight, but this is a respectable turnout for the show.  
Next up we have one of the supporting contests of this show.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 8 round matchup are Vicente Najarro (0 - 0) who hails from Montevideo, Uruguay and Bart Gallagher(10 - 5 - 2) from Dublin, Ireland.  Both Najarro and Gallagher weighed in at 122 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Lee Beirne, and the three ringside judges are Billy Ruane, Lewis MacNevin and Aaron Hearn.  

Round 1: 

Gallagher drives a jab into his opponents body.  
Gallagher quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent.  Najarro lands a left hook.

Gallagher forces Najarro to back into the ropes.  Gallagher pivots to the right of his opponent.  Gallagher throws a left hook, but his opponent slips the shot and counters with a cross.  
Najarro gets on the inside and throws a left uppercut, but his opponent steps away from the shot.  Najarro clinches his opponent.  The ref breaks the clinch and signals for the action to continue.  
Gallagher hits home with a right uppercut.  
Gallagher pivots to the side of his opponent.  Najarro is on target with a jab.  Najarro attempts to land a right uppercut, but Gallagher blocks the shot and counters with a left hook.  
Gallagher steps away from his opponent and lands a jab.  
Najarro lands a right hook followed by a right uppercut to his opponents body.  
Najarro is looking to close the distance.  Najarro sidesteps to the left of his opponent.  Gallagher throws a left hook, but Najarro holds on to his opponent.  As they grapple, Gallagher pushes his forearm into Najarro's face.  The referee breaks the clinch and warns Gallagher to stop fouling.  
At the end of Round 1, lets listen in on the corners...Najarro's trainer is telling his fighter he is being outworked and needs to throw more.

The ref does not appear to have noticed the clash as Najarro dabs at his face checking for damage.  Najarro has come off worse after that clash of heads.  That has caused minor damage to the nose.

Najarro lands a stinging jab.  
Najarro digs in a right hook to his opponents body.  
Najarro gets on the inside and lands two left hooks to his opponents ribs.
