Guido Raso vs Dave McClement

Boxing Daily Report from the Mr. Vicious promoted show at Red Cow Moran Hotel, Dublin,  taking place on 30/11/2023:

The venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  
Next up we have one of the supporting contests of this show.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 6 round matchup are Guido Raso (0 - 0) who hails from Matamoros, Mexico and Dave McClement(5 - 7 - 2) from Sligo, Ireland.  Both Raso and McClement weighed in at 200 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Gareth Byrne, and the three ringside judges are Nathan McKay, Billy Ruane and Rory Carver.  

Round 1: 

Raso is on target with a left uppercut.  
Raso drives a left uppercut into McClement's body.  
Raso steps inside.  Raso sidesteps to the left of his opponent and hits home with a left uppercut.  
Raso advances into close range.  Raso sidesteps to the right of his opponent.  McClement throws a right hook, but Raso holds on to his opponent.  Raso is leaning on his opponent in the clinch. As they grapple, Raso pushes his forearm into McClement's face.  The ref halts the action and breaks the clinch.  He lectures Raso about fouling.

Raso closes the distance and throws a right hook, but his opponent parries the shot.  Raso holds on to his opponent.  Raso leans on his opponent trying to wear him down. The ref breaks the clinch and signals for the action to continue.

McClement steps away from his opponent and hits home with a cross.  
McClement tries to land a cross, but Raso dodges the shot and counters with a left hook.  
Raso is on target with a right hook.  
Raso steps inside and lands a left hook to the body, and then to the head.  
Raso quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent.  Raso lands two right hooks to his opponents ribs.  Raso tries to land a left hook, but his opponent blocks the shot and counters with a right uppercut.  
Raso quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent and lands a right uppercut to the head followed by a right hook to the body.  
Raso closes the distance and manouvers McClement into the red corner.  Raso lands a right hook followed by a left hook to his opponents body.  
Raso throws a left hook, but is unable to get through his opponents guard.  Raso ties up his opponent.  Raso tries to make the space to throw a hook, but hits McClement behind the head. 
At the end of Round 1, lets listen in on the corners...McClement's trainer is advising how he could be more accurate.  McClement's trainer is telling his fighter he needs to be more active or he's going to get outworked.  McClement's trainer is passing on some tactical advice.
