Felix Swain vs Max Carrick

Boxing Daily Report from the Rattlesnake Promotions promoted show at Rattlesnake Gym, Arlington,  taking place on 17/11/2023:

The venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 6 round matchup are Felix Swain (0 - 0) who hails from Moreno Valley, USA and Max Carrick(1 - 0 - 1) from Chicago, USA.  Both Swain and Carrick weighed in at 175 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Michael Toste, and the three ringside judges are Orlando Merlin, Elliot Morgans and Nicholas Wynne.  

Round 1: 

Swain strikes his opponents body with a cross.  
Carrick is looking to keep his distance.  Swain lands a double jab to his opponents head.  
Swain gets on the inside.  Swain attempts to land a left hook, but Carrick blocks the shot and counters with a left uppercut.

Swain tries to keep the action at long range.  Carrick quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent.  Swain attempts to land a jab, but Carrick slips the shot and counters with a cross.  
Swain is looking to keep the action on the outside.  Carrick sidesteps to the right of his opponent.  Swain lands a cross followed by a jab to his opponents head.  
Swain closes the distance.  Swain sidesteps to the left of his opponent and digs in a left hook to his opponents body.  
Swain switches the action to the outside and throws a jab, but his opponent sidesteps and counters with a cross.  
Carrick stalks forward with a low guard, trying to draw a lead from his opponent.  Swain throws a jab, but his opponent parries the shot and counters with a right hook.  
At the end of Round 1, lets listen in on the corners...Swain's trainer is advising how he could be more accurate.  Carrick's trainer is suggesting ways of getting through to his opponent.  Carrick's trainer is telling his fighter he is being outworked and needs to throw more.

Carrick is looking to keep his distance.  Swain quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent and is on target with an overhand right.

Swain steps away from his opponent and lands a cross.  
Swain pivots to the side of his opponent and is on target with a cross to Carrick's body.
