Bohdan Buchko vs Bohdan Mazur

Boxing Daily Report from the Smoking Joe promoted show at Spartak Gym, Kiev,  taking place on 18/12/2023:

The venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 4 round matchup are Bohdan Buchko (4 - 0 - 1) who hails from Dniprodzerzhynsk, Ukraine and Bohdan Mazur(4 - 12 - 3) from Odessa, Ukraine.  Buchko weighed in at 200 pounds, while Mazur weighed in at 199 pounds And 8 ounces.  
The referee tonight is Viktor Boiko, and the three ringside judges are Kir Mozgov, Sergey Dolinsky and Krystiyan Michalko.  

Round 1: 

Buchko is looking to close the distance.  Mazur pivots to the right of his opponent.  Buchko is on target with a right hook.  
Buchko steps to the outside and is on target with an overhand left.

Buchko is looking to keep his distance.  Mazur sidesteps to the right of his opponent.  Buchko throws a jab, but his opponent slips the shot and counters with a right hook.  
Buchko sidesteps to the right of his opponent and is on target with a cross.  
Buchko steps away from his opponent and lands with a sharp jab.  
Buchko gets on the inside.  Mazur attempts to land a right uppercut, but Buchko slips the shot and counters with a right hook.  
Buchko switches the action to the outside and is on target with a jab.  
At the end of Round 2, lets listen in on the corners...Buchko's trainer is telling his fighter he is winning comfortably and should get on his bike for the remainder of the fight.

Buchko gets on the inside.  Mazur throws a right hook, but his opponent sidesteps and counters with a cross.

Buchko closes the distance.  Mazur lands a left hook.  
Buchko walks his opponent onto the ropes.  Buchko hits home with a left hook.  
Buchko gets on the inside.  Mazur pivots to the side of his opponent.  Mazur tries to land a left hook, but his opponent sidesteps and counters with a right hook.  
Mazur wants to work on the inside, but accidentally clashes heads with his opponent!  The ref does not appear to have noticed the clash as Buchko dabs at his face checking for damage.  
Buchko forces Mazur to back into a corner.  Buchko lands a right uppercut.  
At the end of Round 3, lets listen in on the corners...Mazur's trainer is telling his fighter he needs a knockout to win!

Buchko connects with a left hook.  Mazur wants to work on the inside, but accidentally clashes heads with his opponent!  The ref acknowledges the accidental headclash but allows the action to continue.  Buchko has been damaged by that accidental headbutt.  That has caused slight damage to the nose.
