Alfonso Lanza vs Joaquin Briones

Boxing Daily Report from the Mufwembe Promotions promoted show at Santo Domingo Oeste Balasco, Santo Domingo Oeste,  taking place on 17/12/2023:

There are a few empty seats out here tonight, but this is a respectable turnout for the show.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a final eliminator for the Dominican Republic Flyweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance and those watching live on CERTV, the two fighters competing in this 12 round matchup are Alfonso Lanza (11 - 5) who hails from Santo Domingo Este, Dominican Republic and Joaquin Briones(11 - 0) from San Felipe de Puerto Plata, Dominican Republic.  Lanza weighed in at 112 pounds, while Briones weighed in at 111 pounds and 11 ounces.  
The referee tonight is Esteban Favela, and the three ringside judges are Carlos Ruedas, Quito Suero and Cipriano Lujan.
