Genjo Kang vs Sun Yan

Boxing Daily Report from the AI China-Beijing promoted show at HuiK'o Kheong Gym, Beijing,  taking place on 17/12/2023:

Clearly AI China-Beijing have made a mistake booking this venue with less than half the tickets sold, including those handed out as prizes by Boxing Daily.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a final eliminator for the China-Beijing Flyweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Genjo Kang (8 - 5 - 2) who hails from Beijing, China and Sun Yan(9 - 1) from Beijing, China.  Both Kang and Yan weighed in at 112 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Quon Shu, and the three ringside judges are Jiang Shiau, Xin Wan and Yuan Hsu.  

Round 1: 

Kang attempts to land a cross, but Yan dodges the shot and counters with a cross.  
Yan hits home with a cross.  
Yan sidesteps to the left of his opponent and lands a left uppercut to the head, a left hook to the body and a right hook to the body.  As Kang tries to work on the inside, the fighters heads come together!  The ref does not appear to have noticed the clash as Yan dabs at his face checking for damage.  
Yan steps away from his opponent.  Kang hits home with an overhand left.  
Yan walks Kang down, trapping him on the ropes.  Yan pivots to the right of his opponent and lands a left uppercut followed by a left hook to his opponents head.  
Yan steps inside and lands a double right hook to his opponents head.  
Yan lands with a stinging jab.  
Kang steps inside.  Yan steps back and leans on the ropes with his guard up.  Kang tries to tag Yan on the ropes, but his opponent blocks every shot!  
Kang closes the distance.  Kang pivots to the side of his opponent and is on target with a left hook to Yan's liver.  
At the end of Round 1, lets listen in on the corners...Kang's trainer is advising how he could be more accurate.  Kang's trainer is telling his fighter he is being outworked and needs to throw more.

Yan lands a right uppercut followed by a left hook to his opponents head.  Yan ties up his opponent.  Yan uses his free hand to throw a body hook, but it lands on Kang's kidney. The ref halts the action and breaks the clinch.  He lectures Yan about fouling.  
Yan connects with a left uppercut.  
Kang gets on the inside.  Yan lands a right uppercut to the body, a right uppercut to the head and a left hook to the head.  
Kang is on target with a cross.  Kang attempts to land a left hook, but Yan blocks the shot and counters with a left uppercut.  
Yan closes the distance and lands a left hook to the head followed by a right hook to the body.  
Yan advances into close range and lands a right uppercut followed by a right hook to his opponents head.  
Yan is on target with a right hook to his opponents body.  
Kang closes the distance.  As the two fighters work on the inside, their heads come together!  The ref acknowledges the accidental headclash but allows the action to continue.  Kang has taken some damage from that accidental headbutt.  That has caused slight swelling  around the right eye.
