Rehman Magdi vs Abdul Fathy

Boxing Daily Report from the Munamonga Promotions promoted show at Amer Abdullah Gym, Alexandria,  taking place on 18/12/2023:

Clearly Munamonga Promotions have made a mistake booking this venue with less than half the tickets sold, including those handed out as prizes by Boxing Daily.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a final eliminator for the Egypt-Alexandria Light Heavyweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Rehman Magdi (13 - 5) who hails from Alexandria, Egypt and Abdul Fathy(9 - 0) from Alexandria, Egypt.  Magdi weighed in at 175 pounds, while Fathy weighed in at 174 pounds And 4 ounces.  
The referee tonight is Irfan Shukrallah, and the three ringside judges are Zuffur Haq, Rehan Allam and Mohsin Bahri.  

Round 1: 

Fathy lands a right uppercut followed by a jab to his opponents head.  
Fathy advances into close range.  Fathy sidesteps to the right of his opponent and hits home with a left hook.  
Magdi switches the action to the outside and lands a jab.  
Fathy sidesteps to the left of his opponent.  Magdi tries to land a jab, but Fathy dodges the shot and counters with a left uppercut.  
Fathy lands a right hook to the body, and then to the head.  He follows up the attack and lands a right hook to the body, and then to the head.  
Fathy closes the distance and walks Magdi down, trapping him in the corner.  Fathy sidesteps to the left of his opponent and lands a left uppercut followed by a left hook to his opponents head.  
Magdi is looking to keep the action on the outside.  Fathy is on target with an overhand right.  
Fathy lands a cross followed by a jab to his opponents head.  
Fathy gets on the inside and drives a left hook into his opponents body.  
Fathy advances into close range and walks Magdi down, trapping him in a corner.  Fathy drives a right hook into Magdi's body.  As the two fighters work on the inside, their heads come together!  The ref does not appear to have noticed the clash as Magdi dabs at his face checking for damage.
