Daniel Dario vs Ben Probert

Boxing Daily Report from the AI USA-Arizona promoted show at Paul Maya Gym, Yuma,  taking place on 18/12/2023:

There are a few empty seats out here tonight, but this is a respectable turnout for the show.  
Next up we have one of the supporting contests of this show.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 6 round matchup are Daniel Dario (1 - 0) who hails from Oxnard, USA and Ben Probert(1 - 0 - 1) from New York City, USA.  Dario weighed in at 139 pounds and 12 ounces, while Probert weighed in at 139 pounds and 11 ounces.  
The referee tonight is Rex Kinzie, and the three ringside judges are Sid Stirton, Declan Page and Dylan Preston.  

Round 1: 

Probert steps to the outside and finds the target with a jab.  
Dario is on target with a sharp cross.  
Dario sidesteps to the right of his opponent and lands a sharp cross.  
Dario steps inside and lands a left hook followed by a right hook to his opponents head.  
Dario steps to the outside and finds the target with a solid jab.

Dario hits home with a left hook.  
Dario sidesteps to the right of his opponent and lands a right hook.  
Dario pivots from in front of his opponent and lands two left hooks to his opponents ribs.  
Dario sidesteps to the left of his opponent.  Probert throws a cross, but his opponent sidesteps and counters with a right uppercut.  
Probert throws a right uppercut, but Dario ties up his opponent.  As they grapple, Probert pushes his forearm into Dario's face.  The referee warns Probert and breaks the clinch.  
Dario is on target with a firm left hook to Probert's liver.  
Dario steps inside and manouvers his opponent into the corner.  Dario sidesteps to the right of his opponent.  Probert throws a right uppercut, but Dario clinches his opponent.  Dario pushes his forearm into Probert's face.  The ref halts the action and breaks the clinch.  He lectures Dario about fouling.  
Dario closes the distance and digs in a solid left hook to Probert's body.  
At the end of Round 1, lets listen in on the corners...Probert's trainer is advising how he could be more accurate.  Probert's trainer is telling his fighter he is being outworked and needs to throw more.  Probert's trainer is passing on some tactical advice.

As the two fighters work on the inside, their heads come together!  The ref does not appear to have noticed the clash as Dario dabs at his face checking for damage.  
Dario lands a right hook to the body followed by a right uppercut to the head.  
Dario lands a jab.  
Probert cuts off the ring, trapping Dario in the blue corner.  Probert lands a right uppercut.  
Dario is on target with a sharp left hook.  
Dario pivots to the side of his opponent and hits home with a stinging cross.
