Dave Atilano vs George Montilla

Boxing Daily Report from the Smoking Joe promoted show at Smoking Gym, Los Angeles,  taking place on 26/12/2023:

The venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  
Next up we have one of the supporting contests of this show.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 4 round matchup are Dave Atilano (0 - 0) who hails from Fremont, USA and George Montilla(3 - 4 - 1) from Tucson, USA.  Atilano weighed in at 235 pounds and 5 ounces, while Montilla weighed in at 230 pounds and 12 ounces.  
The referee tonight is Josh Butchart, and the three ringside judges are Noel Cadwalader, Billy Gracie and Michael Thomason.

Montilla closes the distance and manouvers his opponent onto the ropes.  Atilano lands a right hook to the body, and then to the head.  
Atilano lands two jabs followed by a cross to his opponents head.  
Atilano feints a right hook, and then connects with a cross.  
Atilano is looking to keep the action on the outside.  Atilano sidesteps to the right of his opponent and lands a jab followed by  two straights to his opponents head.  
Montilla gets on the inside.  Atilano is on target with a solid left hook to Montilla's body.  Atilano holds on to his opponent.  The ref separates the two fighters.  
Atilano steps to the outside and attempts to land a jab, but Montilla slips the shot and counters with a left uppercut.  
Atilano feints a left, and then lands a jab followed by a overhand left to his opponents head.  
Atilano lands a right uppercut to the body followed by a right hook to the head.  
Atilano tries to land a left hook, but Montilla slips the shot and counters with a right uppercut.  
Atilano switches the action to the outside and lands a double jab to his opponents head.

Montilla quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent.  Atilano finds the target with a jab.  
Atilano is looking to keep the action on the outside.  Atilano sidesteps to the left of his opponent and hits home with an overhand right.
