Ahmet Merich vs Frank Mears

Boxing Daily Report from the Ten Count Promotions promoted show at Ten Gym, Hull,  taking place on 02/12/2023:

The venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  
Next up we have one of the supporting contests of this show.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 4 round matchup are Ahmet Merich (1 - 0) who hails from Istanbul, Turkey and Frank Mears(0 - 0) from Northampton, UK.  Both Merich and Mears weighed in at 160 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Bryan Darrow, and the three ringside judges are Bob Clyde, Dominic Patterson and Paul McComb.

Mears walks Merich onto the ropes.  Mears is clearly losing his cool here!   He throws a low uppercut...that landed south of the border! The ref signals for the action to continue.  He either hasnt noticed the blatant foul or doesnt care! 
Mears steps inside.  Merich pivots to the left of his opponent and lands a stinging right uppercut.  
Merich tries to keep the action at long range and lands a straight 1 - 2.
