Xeres Fierro vs Goro Koda

Boxing Daily Report from the AI Japan-Tokyo promoted show at Dai Tano Gym, Tokyo,  taking place on 05/12/2023:

The venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 6 round matchup are Xeres Fierro (3(1) - 0) who hails from Soyapango, El Salvador and Goro Koda(1 - 4 - 2) from Tokyo, Japan.  Both Fierro and Koda weighed in at 122 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Hisao Nakayama, and the three ringside judges are Dai Kuba, Hiroki Shoda and Daiki Onishi.

Fierro is using his forearm in the clinch.  The ref halts the action and breaks the clinch.  He lectures Fierro about fouling.  
Fierro hits home with a firm right hook.  
Fierro lands a stinging cross.  
Fierro gets on the inside and lands a left hook to the head, a left hook to the body and a right hook to the head.  
Fierro lands a left hook followed by a left uppercut to his opponents body.  Fierro clinches his opponent.  Fierro is leaning on his opponent in the clinch. The ref calls break and the two fighters separate.  
Fierro pivots to the left of his opponent and connects with a left hook.  
Fierro steps inside.  Koda throws a left hook, but Fierro clinches his opponent.  Koda pushes his forearm into Fierro's face.  The ref breaks Fierro's hold and signals for the fight to continue.  
Koda tries to keep the action at long range and throws a cross, but his opponent slips the shot and counters with a left uppercut.

Fierro steps inside.  Fierro pivots to the side of his opponent.  Koda tries to land a left hook, but Fierro blocks the shot and counters with a firm cross.
