Boxing Daily Report from the John Green promoted show at Matthew Hatt Gym, Bolton,  taking place on 05/01/2024:

The venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  
Next up we have one of the supporting contests of this show.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 4 round matchup are David Baird (1 - 0) who hails from Manchester, UK and Leeroy Phillip(0 - 0) from London, UK.  Baird weighed in at 130 pounds, while Phillip weighed in at 129 pounds and 13 ounces.  
The referee tonight is Nathan Still, and the three ringside judges are James Brys, Kai Comrie and Iain Clark.  

Round 1: 

Phillip steps inside and throws a left uppercut, but Baird clinches his opponent.  As they grapple, Baird pushes his forearm into Phillip's face.  The ref calls break and the two fighters separate.
