Erik Hultgren vs Marco Pita

Boxing Daily Report from the Bos Firefighters promoted show at Magic City Casino, Miami,  taking place on 30/11/2023:

Clearly Bos Firefighters have made a mistake booking this venue with less than half the tickets sold, including those handed out as prizes by Boxing Daily.  
Next up we have one of the supporting contests of this show.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 4 round matchup are Erik Hultgren (0 - 0) who hails from Stockholm, Sweden and Marco Pita(1 - 2 - 1) from Holguin, Cuba.  Both Hultgren and Pita weighed in at 154 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Max Merrick, and the three ringside judges are Sam Dickins, Stuart Gillund and Oliver Mirando.  

Round 1: 

Hultgren quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent and lands a cross followed by a left hook to his opponents head.  
Hultgren is looking to close the distance and attempts to land a left hook, but Pita blocks the shot and counters with a cross.  
Hultgren steps inside and digs in a right hook to his opponents ribs.  
The two boxers are fighting in-close, but their heads clash!  The ref acknowledges the accidental headclash but allows the action to continue.  Hultgren has come off worse after that clash of heads.  That has caused slight swelling  around the left eye.

Hultgren steps inside and walks Pita into a neutral corner.  Hultgren lands a left uppercut to the head followed by a left hook to the body.

Hultgren drives a firm left hook into his opponents body.

Hultgren walks his opponent down, trapping him in a corner.  Hultgren drives a firm left hook into Pita's body.  As the two fighters work on the inside, their heads come together!  The ref does not appear to have noticed the clash as Hultgren dabs at his face checking for damage.  Hultgren has taken some damage there.  The foul has worsened the damage  around the left eye.
